We are excited, and also a little saddened, to announce some changes to the way we run our giveaway competitions at Man Savings. Since our launch in 2015, giveaway competitions have been a huge part of our business, allowing us to engage with our followers and give back to our community.
However, as we grew, we encountered a small minority of people who tried to scam our entrants by impersonating our page and asking for bank or debit card details. Due to this practice, we stopped running Facebook giveaways some years ago, and now the same tactics are now being used on our Twitter page.
To protect our followers, we have made the decision to run all our future competitions through our website. This will ensure that entry is only available via our website and prevent scammers from using our name to trick people into giving away their personal information.
Due to the changes, we understand that this change will have an impact on our reach and engagement on social media. Therefore, we kindly ask our followers to share, tweet, and comment on our usual social posts to help us continue to grow and engage with our community.
Over the past 8 years, we have given away many prizes, including; Adidas OG SPZL Towels, 2 Pairs of the OG Liam Gallagher Spezial, Bobble Hats, T-Shirts, £500 Football Kit Sponsorship, and Feniscowles SPZL Jacket, and literally dozens of pairs of adidas trainers. And one lucky winner even won a pair of adidas trainers every month for a whole year. We have lost count of the total number of prizes we have given out, and the costs involved, but we have always taken pride in delivering prizes to all of our winners.
We hope that by running all our future competitions through our website, we can continue to give back to our community while ensuring the safety of our followers. We appreciate your understanding and support as we make this transition.
Thank you for taking the time to read this announcement, and we look forward to hosting many more giveaways through our website.
Sincerely, Team Man Savings
